The film ends with Ramesh standing in front of the tree, now bare, but with a sense of peace and acceptance. He knows that he will always carry the leaf's spirit with him and that it has given him a new perspective on life. The camera pans out, showing the village waking up to a new day, as Ramesh walks back to his home, ready to face the future.
